Insulation Services In Tulsa, Broken Arrow & Owasso, Ok

We believe your furnace shouldn’t burn money, and that all starts with good home insulation. Most homes lose at least 10 percent, if not more, of their energy to poor insulation alone! Using advanced thermal imaging, we will locate the problem areas where good air is leaking and eliminate waste in your attic, crawl spaces, door seals, and vents.

Is your home too cold or too hot? Are your utility bills killing you? Do you feel drafts? These are all problems that better insulation can fix.

Most homes, even really expensive ones, are built with aesthetics in mind. Unless specifically requested by the homeowner, good insulation is almost never planned for during construction. This causes immediate inefficiencies, forcing your furnace to work harder than it should to keep the air well conditioned in your home.

Polar Bear Jack will take a scientific approach to your system and consider all insulation options to make sure you’re not spending more than you have to.

Attic Insulation

Attic Insulation is one of the easiests improvements you can make to your home efficiency. The first step is to eliminate gaps in the attic space using rigid foam insulation and/or spray foam. This eliminates the amount of air that is able to escape your home through the ceiling into your attic.

Spray Foam Insulation

Often considered the most efficient insulation out there, spray foam insulation is ideal for complete air sealing. Spray foam insulation also eliminates moisture access to your attic, therefore lowering chances of mold growth. Typically lasting quite some time, spray foam insulation is a great choice when considering cost and energy-efficiency.

Knee Wall Insulation

Simply put, knee walls are barriers between a conditioned space and an unconditioned space. Often found near bonus rooms in awkward locations of your home, an improperly insulated knee wall can cause drastic comfort loss. Polar Bear Jack specializes in insulating knee wall areas correctly by covering the entire wall, including all edges and seals.

Cellulose Insulation

Blown into an empty space of your home, either in an attic or wall, cellulose insulation is made of energy-efficient recycled materials. Typically fire-resistant and thick in nature, cellulose insulation is an efficient way to maintain comfort levels within your home.

Net and Blow Insulation

Net and blow insulation is both cost-efficient and simple to do. By simply stretching a netting over the studs of your home, then filling in the area behind the net, insulating in this way allows for a uniform, sound-resistant space.

Fiberglass Batts Insulation

Many spaces are constructed using fiberglass batts, which are a convenient but less efficient way to insulate during construction. While these provide some benefit, the additions of cellulose or fiberglass blown insulation, or foam insulation offer huge advantages in comfort and savings.

Fiberglass insulation: What NOT to do

Which is better, cellulose or fiberglass insulation?

Fiberglass batts are the more common of the two types of attic insulations, as they are easier to install. Cellulose insulation provides a better R-value, and if packed tightly is better at reducing airflow from gaps in your ceiling and sheetrock work.

While fiberglass has a slightly lower R-value, it does provide a benefit of helping reduce dust in your home as compared to cellulose.

For do-it-yourself installation, fiberglass batts require less equipment. For do-it-your-selfers, this is often the preferred choice. But for maximum energy savings, cellulose or blown fiberglass insulation proves the best result.
